SAIT GIS Degree program students: You will need to create an account with ProctorU, download the Firefox or Chrome extension, schedule a time to write with ProctorU and pay the appropriate fee based on the length of the exam.

If you already have an account with ProctorU, review the technical requirements below.

If you are new to ProctorU, create an account.  All we need is some basic information about you and what institution or organization you are testing with.  Sign up

DOWNLOAD THE PROCTORU EXTENSION

We offer a fully automated solution right in your browser. For the easiest experience download the Chrome extension or the Firefox extension.

PREPARE

Make sure your computer meets the minimum requirements. You can also check out our Exam Readiness Guide.

DO WELL

When it comes time to take your exam click on the exam (under the Test tab) in your Brightspace section.  You will be guided through a system check, then proceed to write the exam.

Important Notice For MacOS X Catalina And Big Sur Users

Apple increased security features with the release of OS X Catalina. To avoid technical issues during your exam session, you must enable screen recordings. Watch our step-by-step tutorial below or read more through the link.

Note: There may be additional steps needed to allow ProctorU remote access, however, those can not be completed until the time of your exam. The steps above are for a successful connection before you're with a proctor.

Not Supported

At this time we do not support the following; however, we are working on solutions to accommodate every platform.

  1. Microsoft Edge browser
  2. Tablets (Nexus, iPad, Tab, Note, etc.)
  3. Linux operating Systems
  4. Windows 10 in S mode or Surface RT
  5. No running inside a virtual machine. You will be asked to reconnect using your host operating system to take your exam

Note: We do not proctor computers running within virtual machines. If you are running within a virtual machine when you connect with us, you will be asked to exit your virtual machine and reconnect using your host operating system to take your test.
