A live proctor will verify your identity, assist with the environment pre checks, and launch the exam. This should take about 8 minutes. Once the exam is launched, you are allotted 120 minutes to complete the exam.

What are the requirements of my exam space?

The exam needs to be taken in a quiet space where you will be alone and not interrupted. Please make sure the space is free of any scratch paper, writing instruments, or screens to expedite the environment check.

What resources am I allowed to have with me during the exam?

Please have a valid photo ID at the time of the exam. You will need access to your phone (or a hand held mirror) as a reflective surface during the environment check conducted by the online proctor. However, you will not be allowed to use the phone during the exam. Your area must also be free of any scratch paper, writing instruments, or note taking materials.

Can I use a mobile device to take the exam?

No. The G Suite certification exam can only be taken on a laptop or desktop device.

Chrome is the only browser supported for this exam. Please check out the ProctorU resources to find more details on the system requirements.

Why do I need to install the ProctorU Chrome extension?

The ProctorU Chrome extension must be installed in advance of your exam. It allows the proctor to view your screen for the duration of the exam. Remember to uninstall the Chrome extension upon completion of your exam.

Is the ProctorU Chrome extension safe?

Yes. The Chrome Web Store security team has thoroughly reviewed ProctorU’s Chrome extension code and has approved this extension for use.

How long is my certification valid?

All Google Cloud certifications are valid for 2 years from the date certified. All candidates must recertify in order to maintain their certification status.

What happens if I don’t pass the G Suite certification exam?

If you don’t pass an exam, you can take it again after 14 days. If you don’t pass a second time, you must wait 60 days before you can take it a third time. If you don’t pass the third time, you must wait a year before taking it again. You may attempt the exam in multiple languages but each attempt regardless of language counts toward the total permissible attempts, and the waiting period between attempts still applies. While your first attempt is free (i.e. covered under the testing period), payment is required for each additional attempt. Circumventing our retake policy by registering under a different name or any other means is a violation of the exam terms and conditions and will result in a denied or revoked certification.

Why don’t I receive my numerical score or any feedback when I receive my exam results?

Our exams are designed to determine if an individual meets a minimum passing standard. They are not designed to be diagnostic. For this reason, numerical scores are not shared with the test taker.

I took the G Suite beta exam earlier. Can I take the test again now?

If you took the beta and passed, you are already Google Cloud Certified in G Suite and will not be able to take the exam again until your certification expires. If you took the beta and did not pass, you are now eligible to take the exam a second time.
