ProctorU, the world’s leading test proctoring company, has moved its headquarters from Livermore, California, to Birmingham, Alabama. The previous CEO was based out of Livermore, but the current CEO, Scott McFarland, lives in Birmingham.
Speaking to the Birmingham Business Journal, McFarland said, “We’re moving it back to Birmingham because our entire engineering team and founder live here, as well as myself. We have a longstanding relationship with UAB (University of Alabama at Birmingham), so we hire a lot of students out of UAB and they’re a long term customer of ours. We are working closely with them and it’s a great relationship.”
The new CEO has high hopes for filling the 20,000-square-foot office space in Hoover, Alabama, over the next few months. ProctorU still has two proctoring centers in California, as well as two in the Philippines. Another center will be opening soon in Dominica. Read more here.
